Murray & Willis are very proud to have recently completed the £500k refurbishment at Cottons Hotel and Spa, Knutsford.

The project included refurbishing the colonial lounge, pool reception, health and beauty spa and the main bar and restaurant.

The existing lounge and adjacent corridor where stripped out back to the shell, existing openings where enlarged and new support steelwork installed. We then installed a completely new electrical installation and then made alterations to the mechanical services.

First and second fix joinery was then completed including new timber doors and then we installed new timber and stone flooring new entrance doors and a glass balustrade.

A new beech glazed screen was introduced into the pool and pool lounge area to segregate the two areas forming a new lounge area. The existing reception desk was extended and completely refurbished. The existing bar area was stripped out, new flooring laid throughout and then we re-decorated using our own in-house decorators to ensure a quality finish.

As the hotel was fully operational during the redevelopment, the reception and small lounge area were both re-decorated at night to avoid any disruption completing yet another successful project for Shire Hotels all in a ten week period.
