McDonald’s Restaurant, East Gates, Leicester
Case Study
the
project
As part of our framework agreement with McDonald’s, we were awarded the task of refurbishing their Leicester restaurant. This was the first full refurbishment of their ‘Natural Integrity’ theme.
This new concept is the first in the world and gives a handcrafted feel to the store, creating a new and refreshing atmosphere for customers to enjoy their dining experience.
With new features such as multi-level seating, trendy booths, Aircharge (charging your phone on your table without any cables), order kiosks and tablets dotted throughout the store, this project has been an interesting one to say the least.
With a refit value in excess of £1Million and a ten-week full closure to complete the project, our in-house team of operatives worked 24/7 shifts to ensure that the store was re-opened as programmed and received a high degree of plaudits from the client.
The unique design features such as unusual wood partitions for booths, cut-out images of food item partitions between tables, bespoke lighting features were all fitted by our in-house operatives giving this restaurant the exact feel that McDonald’s had in mind.
Specialist tiles were produced especially for the concept and furniture was manufactured in Europe to create the overall feel.
Co-ordinating with both our approved specialist sub- contractors and McDonald’s direct suppliers enabled us to achieve a successful collaborative partnership in order to achieve a high level finished product, to their exacting requirements while at the same time, new sprinklers, M & E, new male and female toilets and cubicles were fitted as well as new shopfront frameless glazing.
