McDonald’s Restaurant, Cannock
Case Study
the
project
Murray & Willis are one of a select group of ‘framework’ contractors for McDonald’s Restaurants and as part of the four year roll out programme to completely transform McDonald’s retail estate, we recently refurbished restaurant number 323 which was an out of town drive-thru in this instance, run directly by McDonald’s.
This particular restaurant refurbishment is classed as an ‘extreme’ image relating in the main to the graphics which depict ‘graffiti’!
The drive-thru remained open for the first seven days of a fifteen day programme, allowing us to close the inside of the store and completely remove existing floor tiles and screed and then re-screed, we then laid new ceramic tiles throughout.
The unit was then completely closed for another eight days allowing us to undertake the following:
New suspended ceiling throughout main restaurant
- New surface platform counter with order collect points and new feature bulkhead
- New self-order kiosks
- New digital price menu boards in the dining area
- New LED lighting and feature pendant lights
- Re-covered the existing furniture where applicable
- Refurbished ‘crew room’ and installed new lockers
- Partially refurbished the kitchen which included:
- New LED lighting
- Respray the ceiling
- New ‘Altro whiterock’
The project was completed on time and to the client’s exacting standards. We continue to work with this ‘Blue-chip’ client on numerous other projects across the UK.
