Central England Co-Operative, GodManchester
Case Study
the
project
We have been on Central England Co-operative’s contractors ‘framework’ for several years and have undertaken a wide variety of refurbishment and fit-out projects.
In this particular instance we were tasked with the fit-out of a developer’s shell in Godmanchester, near Cambridge. The building was divided up into several units of which Central England Co-operative acquired the largest space.
We then began the task of fitting the space out into a fully functioning retail convenience store.
Before we could commence the fit-out we needed to install a new resin ‘Dega-floor’ which was installed by specialist flooring contractors onto the existing concrete slab throughout the sales area.
A specialist ‘drop bulkhead’ detail was installed around the sales area separating the main grid and incorporating white and black ceiling tiles.
A complete mechanical and electrical installation infrastructure was installed, programmed and supervised by ourselves.
Along with the installation of new refrigeration equipment including new fridge cases, freezers, coffee machine, freestanding ATM, tobacco and alcohol kiosk. In the back of house area the fit-out included the installation of a beers, wines and spirits cage. New rooms were constructed to form a cash office with a secure steel door and in-store bakery, staff canteen and staff toilet were fitted out to the clients’ specification.
To secure the premises, three new internal roller shutters were installed externally.
